About MentorStudio
MentorStudio was set up to provide a holistic approach to teaching, to complement the work teachers do in schools, because most times, this is just not enough. The service does not focus on attempting paper after paper, as we do not believe it is the best approach to learning. Starting with foundations, MentorStudio build upon strengthening the bases before moving to papers. The students here understand the WHY and HOW of a subject, and learn how to solve problems using the knowledge gained.
MentorStudio prefer not to be termed a 'tutor', but a 'mentor' who guides each and every child to reach beyond their perceived potential. We teach pupils life skills that will carry them through their entire academic years and beyond.
Providing education in Maths, English and Reasoning for 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+, 11+, 13+ common entrance exams, and Maths up to GCSE, MentorStudio is a leader in entrance exams' success. In addition, MentorStudio assists children who just need that extra time to build on key fundamental skills at school. Also, the service provides interview preparation sessions for entrance assessments for independent schools.
The ethos of MentorStudio is based upon helping students overcome difficulties in learning so that they achieve great results in school and in life. Nothing is set in stone: fear of learning, lack of motivation, boredom and lack of inspiration can all be changed. A child happy to learn will want to seek more. This is what leads to success in all facets of life, not just education.
MentorStudio has successfully tutored students to gain places at the top London schools: Westminster, St Paul's, King's College School, Habs, Forest, Highgate, Latymer, Whitgift, Sutton Grammars, Epsom, etc.
I have an MSc in Informatics and Architecture from USA, and have been teaching for over 12 years. Please get in touch to see how MentorStudio can help your child.
